AAAAAAAAAA, sorry I'm late to the party!!!!  I thought my day was tomorrow.  EEEEEEEEKKKKKK, it actually got my heart rate going when i realized it was today!

So here is my Halloween project for this year and it's finally one for me!!!

It is my very own Sandra saddle bag by Swoon patterns!!  I love it because it is not so "in your face" Halloween.  Plus, it is a fantastic pattern, as all Swoon bags are!!
As happens to all of us, life took a turn for the hard road right now so this is all I could get finished this spooky season.  Hopefully sooner than later I will be jumping back into these blog hops with gusto!  For now, I will leave you with this little funny that made me giggle...

Pattern Parcel #6

It's All About The Ladies!!
I haven't posted since last June but I am breaking my code of silence!!  Okay, I'm just setting aside my laziness!!!  And for quite a good reason.  I answered the call to test out and blog about a wonderful set of patterns for the ladies.  Hop on over to The Pattern Parcel and check it out.  Or go to their blog HERE and read all about it.  It is quite a good deal as there are several options for purchasing.  The really cool thing is that it supports the indie designers and also children's education charities.  So far it has raised $13000.00!!!
So, just to give you a background on my fashion sewing experience I'll give you a list of each item of clothing I have sewn before this parcel.  Okay, that's it.  Did you miss anything?!  Bahahaha, I am a clothing sewing virgin!!  I mean not even a pillowcase dress for my daughter when she was little.  Nada nothing zilch!  But I really wanted to give fashion sewing a try so I could have clothing that fits every part of me.  I am so sick of buying something to fit over one part of me only to find out it doesn't fit around another part!  And don't get me started on things popping out when I bend or reach.  UGH!!!
Looking through all the cool patterns in this group I decided on the Julia Cardigan by Mouse House Creations.  So, got my pattern printed, taped and trimmed down to workable pieces and off I went.  I honestly could just kick myself for not giving this a go earlier!  This cardigan came together so easily thanks to the wonderfully written pattern and all the tips included in with the instructions.  I completed it from cutting to wearing in one day.  Since this was a first for me I went very slow so I'm sure it would only take a few hours for the next one.
I would highly recommend this Parcel even if you are totally new to fashion sewing!  Just look how wonderful mine turned out!!
Now off to make some more stuff for me!  Mwahahahaha=)

GOOD GRACIOUS!!!

Here it is June 23rd and I haven't posted since April 29th!
I really didn't mean for it to be so long but time sure does get away.  Every time I would think to post some of my latest work I would think "well let me just sew up this one last thing".  You know how that goes, one thing leads to another and it's time to put away sewing and get to work.  BLAH!!!!
So here is my BIG decision.......I am going to write a post first thing Monday morning to show what I have been up to the past week.  I'm sure I'll miss one here and there but, hopefully, if won't be two months of Mondays missed!!
Without further ado, here are some of my latest finishes....

 A Kindle Cover

A Lunch Bag and some Pillows

and, finally, a Steering Wheel Cover for little old me!!

Until next time...Have a Quilt Worthy day!!

Ballpark Bag!!

My two favorite things are making bags and going to Phillies games sooo.........
I decided to make a bag to take to the ballpark.  This year we will be doing a baseball weekend out in Pittsburgh when the Phillies are out there over the 4th of July.  I'm sure we will be walking the city exploring during the day so I wanted a somewhat compact bag that would be easy to carry.  There's nothing worse than constantly pulling your purse strap back up onto your shoulder, am I right girls?!
So in March I received my pattern for the Bag Pattern of the Month and it was PERFECT for what I wanted.  It is called The Convertible Bag and it is by Sewing Patterns by Mrs. H.  It can go from regular purse to cross body bag to backpack!  LOVE!!!
So here's my baseball version of The Convertible Bag!

BTW, the cool baseball fabric was bought at Joann's.  Actually ALL the fabric was from Joann's.  And a big thanks to Christine from ChrisWDesigns for introducing me to rivets!!  I think they look so cool on this bag!

Flag on a Stick hop!

                                                  Sew we quilt
Here goes my second try at writing this post!!!!  Oh technology, why do you hate me?!!!
As soon as I heard about this hop I knew I wanted to make a flag to represent my new bag making adventure!  I love making bags and have started taking orders from friends and family for custom made bags.  And bonus, it pays for my fabric addiction!
I thought at the top of the flag I should put my logo but wait.....I don't have a logo.  So this is what I came up with...
It's quite simple but fun!  I love the font and best of all....it was free in my Word program!  YAY FREE!!!  Well with a name like Robin I certainly wouldn't call them bags but rather...nests!!  So they are my custom made fabric nests!  Heeeeyyyyyyy, that would be a great blog name!  bahahahaha
Bet you'll never guess what that is in the middle!!  Here's some more in process pics...

Hey, don't mind me..I'm just jammin' to some Pandora while I sew!!

And here's my sewing tip for the day...don't try to watch Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show while hand sewing the embroidery details on your project!  I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes.  Teary, blurry eyes and sharp needles don't play well together!!!!  It's much better to just listen to music!
And so here is my finished flag, and I must say I am quite pleased with it.  It has all different little bags and wallets appliqued on from fabric scraps that I made bags out of!!  And my plump little robin in the middle even has her own fabric nest to fly with!

And just in case you wanted a close up of that diva Robin, here she is...
Look at that fancy fabric nest she has!!
Heyyyyyyy, who's that photo bombing my flag?!!!  GET BACK TO CLASS missy!!!
Well, that's my flag and I'm sticking to it?!!  fly on over to the other hoppers and check out their flags too....

Lunch Time!!

Hey what could chase away the winter blues like a NEW BAG?!!!  I'll tell you...NOTHING!!  So I dug out some fabric that I bought quite a while ago just because I loved it so much and went in search of a lunch bag pattern.  Lo and behold I found a FREE tutorial for the cutest lunch bag around over at Pink Penguin!  Here's my version...
OMG, isn't it awesome?!
I love the pull close cover on top.  No peaking at my not so healthy lunch!!  So thanks so much to Ayumi for a great tutorial for this fast and fun bag.  BTW, wouldn't it make a great Easter basket?!
