Hip hip hooray, it's my day! First of all WELCOME to my newly created blog. Not much to look at so far but I hope to become a very active member in the blogging community! Much thanks to Madame Samm for dreaming up these hops that I love so much. These hops are the whole reason I finally bit the bullet and started this blog. A HUGE thanks to Thearica for hosting this one and helping me with all my newbie blogger questions!
Here is my finished stamp! What else would it be but a robin? First I drew out my stamp (no artist here!) so I cold decide how I wanted my birdie to look.
So, after I was done drawing upside down (pretty talented, huh?!) I turned it the right way and traced my birdie parts (hehe, that part should be rated pg13!).
Then I went searching for the perfect background fabric. Lo and behold I came across some of my sun dyed fabric. It was just a practice piece of fabric and I didn't think it would ever really come in handy but WOW I love how the robin looks on it. So I ironed on the pieces and away I went. Oh, the three little eggs are for my three little hatchlings!
Then I just cut strips of brown scrap fabrics and sewed them down randomly. I forgot to take a pic of this step. DUH! The final touches were the letters USA on a background of Pennsylvania for my location and of course I put in my two cents at the bottom!! Here is a close up.
I hope you enjoy my stamp and my new blog. There are so many more stamps to see by my fellow bloggers today! Give them all some quilty love!!

ReplyDeleteWelcome to our blogging community!! Madame Samm's Blog Hops are an excellent reason to start your own blog but you will come to view it as a way to journal your daily life. I hope to put mine together in booklet form for my family one day down the road. So glad you are taking this big step!! My eyesight is poor so I did have a tad bit of trouble reading the small font on your post. Perhaps a wee bit bigger if possible??? Everything else is right on target.
